I was just asked by a coach if he could hire me to give catching lessons.
This is huge. I just became a coach this year. He actually wanted to me to join their coaching staff fully, but I have already committed to the Cobras for next year. I asked my current team if they wanted me to come back full time or just as a hitting coach and they unanimously decided that they wanted me as a full time assistant coach, if not head coach. I may take over head coach when they reach 16u since they are just 14 now, but I’m not ready for that much responsibility.
This is a huge honor though. I told them that I would absolutely work with their catchers. I haven’t discussed pay with them yet, but they already told me that they would pay me gas money to come out to work with them, since they are about 40 minutes from my school, and a little extra for my time.
